Life On A Small Family Goat Farm

I am starting this blog in the hopes of educating the public on exactly what it takes to operate a small family farm in North Idaho. I am hoping to chronical the daily life around the farm along with the trials and tribulations thereof.

I'm hoping that this will help other families thinking of starting a small farm or homestead to learn exactly what it takes to keep a successful farm running, or educate those that may think that it's great fun to have livestock, without realizing the daily work and effort involved. Farming is NOT for the faint hearted.

I'm hoping to be able to post to this blog several times a week, but that will really depend on the workload here on our farm. When it comes to everyday operation, I am only one middle-aged lady that does all of the milking, animal care, product production, packaging, garden cultivating, delivery, etc. single handedly. Needless to say I am very busy all over the farm.

Please feel free to comment or ask questions. I will try to answer as time permits.

Thanks you for your time.
